Called Emerald Cut because there are sections that are truly emerald in color, truly amazing natural beauty that is well worth the effort to see it! The turn around and down stream run is super fun! There’s a small swimming hole with a rope swing for anybody who up for a tree climb and swing after the paddle! On the way upstream there are several rest spots, depending on the group’s needs we will utilize these sand bars to catch our breath and rest for a minute. Custom Paddle Adventures with Uncle NedLocal companies, visiting corporations and sports teams, Wekiva island is our go to favorite for groups large and small. #1 and #2 reason why we love paddling at Wekiva Island. Wind protected and no motor boats. Take these variables out of the equation and paddleboarding just became real easy and even more enjoyable! The Island is ideally set up for corporate or team groups, along side awesome scenic paddling, private cabanas, catering, and a medium size conference room are available as well. Maybe you or your group are looking for something you don’t see offered?Call us or email us, we want to paddle with you! 407 960 7815 or ned@paddleboardorlando.com From 1 paddler to 100 paddlers we are happy to set up a single or multiple day paddling trip here in Central Florida (or in the jungles of Costa Rica.) Locally we have a fun menu of SUP opportunities that are mostly beginner friendly. Wekiva Island, Dinky Dock and French Landing are all great launch spots for unique fun beginner paddles. Emerald Cut, Venetian Canals, and Dog Island are our intermediate to advanced paddles in the Orlando area. Venturing out from Orlando to a one or 2 hour drive and you can reach sandy beach isles with intracoastal waterways or crystal clear forest springs. We offer custom trips to New Smyrna Beach for coastal cruising or SUP surf if your up for it! Special feature of paddling in New Smyrna? Lots of marine life! We almost always have a sighting or 2 of dolphins! The intracoastal waterway offers paddles to islands and sandbars and usually sightings of dolphins frolicking or feeding. The surf at NSB is some of the best on the east coast and is ideal for SUP surfing, we usually stay away from the inlet and surf the sandbars of Ester street and Bethune beach. A bit inland in Ocala national forest lies the majestic silver springs. Now a state park, Silver Springs offers an amazing peek back in time to what old Florida looked like. The massive springs gushing with cold deep clear blue water are mesmerizing to paddle around and over. A recently opened paddle trail winds back around the spring, making a really neat place to cruise around on a board and check out! Season dependent, venture further down river and you may run into the new and old denizens of Silver Springs, monkeys and manatees! Heading west from Orlando, we offer private trips to Weeki Wachee and Crystal river. Due to their popularity its best to run these trips in the fall or winter and during the week. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out! ned@paddleboardorlando.com or 407 960 7815
